Parkour is a movement discipline that has been growing in popularity over the last decade. As parkour is non-competitive in nature, it is becoming a popular alternative to competitive sports for people of all ages looking for a way to stay fit.

We believe the physical discipline of parkour is a great tool to combat child and adult obesity that our nation faces. We want to help people of build wellness through a personal journey of self-improvement with the help of a growing and supportive community.

Parkour keeps people moving. The growing sedentary lifestyle culture has been a component in the rising obesity epidemic in children and adults. By finding new, exciting, and safe ways to keep the body moving, parkour is an effective tool to help people stay healthy through a focus on improving strength, range of motion, aerobic endurance, bone density, joint alignment, structural efficiency, mental focus, and community involvement.

Our members originally began with the introduction of Legacy Parkour & Freerunning. Founded in 2011 as an Oregon local non-profit with a goal of spreading awareness of parkour as a healthy lifestyle. We primarily acted as an athletic performance team, putting on demonstrations and helping with fundraisers at local schools as well as being used for commercial performances.

Our Mission

Parkour for everyone. It is our mission to help make access to parkour, and the ability to learn parkour, a reality for everyone regardless of age, gender, race or beliefs. We hope to accomplish our goal through two routes: creating after-school programs at local gyms and providing individual scholarships. Through our efforts, we hope to strengthen a supportive community and improve the health of children, teens, and adults.
